RhapsodyScrobbler Downloads

Installation Instructions:

• New Installation
• Install Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0, if you don't already have it.
• Unzip RhapsodyScrobbler.zip into the desired directory.
• Upgrade From Previous Version
• Unzip RhapsodyScrobbler.zip into a temporary directory.
• Copy all files except RhapsodyScrobblerWin.exe.config into the directory from which you run RhapsodyScrobbler. (This will allow you to preserve your settings.)

Released February 23, 2008

• Now built on .NET Framework 2.0 instead of 1.1.
• Fixed bug where some stuff was getting logged all of the time, ignoring the user-specified log level.
• Fixed bug where time of submitted tracks would be wrong if not in the Pacific time zone.
• Removed ability to use the local Rhapsody database as the "recent tracks interface". This only worked with older versions of Rhapsody, so I removed it to simplify things.
• Fixed bug that caused some tracks to not be submitted because the "last query date" was always the current date/time.
• Some minor UI changes.

For example, it includes a ScrobblerRequest class that can be used by your own application to communicate with Audioscrobbler -- just instantiate and call SubmitTracks, the rest is taken care of for you. Version 1.1

Released October 1, 2006 (with bug fix released October 2, 2006)

• Added support of retrieving played tracks from Rhapsody using RSS interface instead of looking at (and locking) the database. This means it now works with the Rhapsody web client
• Added ability to submit tracks that were played when RhapsodyScrobbler was not running.
• Added option to save settings (if a change was made) when the "Start Monitoring" button is pressed.
• Icon in tray has been changed and the icon displayed indicates the status of the program.
• Added known Rhapsody path
• If the log directory specified doesn't exist, it will be created.
• Fixed bug with parsing Handshake response.
• If the logging fails for some reason (probably a permission problem), it will silently fail. Don't want problem with logging to prevent the use of the program.
• Fixed logging of Scrobbler errors -- was displaying "L 1" instead of the reason being returned from Scrobbler.
• Added "About" screen.
• Fixed saving of Audioscrobbler username and password -- it will now propogate the change without having to restart.
